OK. That's seems a reasonable approach.

I don't think vi on adverb entries is helpful in most cases. It doesn't tell you whether the word is used like a regular verb or just adjectivally as 〜した/〜している.
I wouldn't object to including it on entries where we lead with vs (like this one).

As I said, I don't mind  vi tag here. I'll close to trim the list, and reopen for a while.

I don't think there's an innate rule that says a スル adv can't be vt, although I'm hard-pressed to come up with one that isn't. But くんくん for example has one を-して example on reverso (out of 7). 
But even if there is indeed such a rule, and all of these スル adv can only be vi, I would expect that only a minority of our users would be aware of that, so I think we should still mark them as vi.

I'm OK with yoji on this entry but I wouldn't mind dropping it either. It's included in 新明解四字熟語辞典.

This one is in 3 of the 4 sources on the project page, as well as in the yoji.jitenon.jp site. I'll leave the tag there for now, but I think we need to have an agreed way of settling on the use of the tag. I'll raise an issue for it.

I will repeat what I've said many times before on this topic - what does [yoji] here tell us about this word except the very obvious, namely that it's written with 4 characters? In Japanese, anything that consists of 4 characters can be called a 四字熟語, but if we're going to use it a way that's the least bit meaningful to our users, we have to make a  more narrow selection. That's why I once suggested we instead call it [iyoji] for idiomatic 4-ji jukugo to make it clearer we shouldn't just slap it onto anything. Nobody else seemed to favor it and I agreed at the time it was probbly fine as [yoji] but as we keep having this argument as if we're lost sight of what the intended use of it was, I'm not sure that was really the right decision.

I'm also not a fan of the new gloss. Meikyo has 2 senses, btw.

I agree with Marcus's suggestion to delete this entry and add 三鞭酒 as an ateji form to シャンパン. I'm not seeing any evidence that it's read さんべんしゅ when referring to champagne.

I 'm really not seeing a good case for splitting here. No source has さんべんしゅ. Several do have シャンパン (or rather, mention this kanji in their シャンパン entries) The rakuten/amazon listings aren't reliable. The drink referred to is an (at least in Japan) very obscure Chinese drink which doesn't seem to have anything to do with champagne, and is maybe actually read サンピエンチュウ. Now that we have rK, why not use it?

We've been thrashing this around for years. We settled on the two-entry approach in 2017, and I still think it's the cleanest. I'd like to keep さんべんしゅ there somewhere, which would make consolidation messy. I think the  しゃんぱん reading can go.

This definitely isn't something that is in any way exclusive to this entry. If we're going to change how we do this, it should be across all entries.

It's been our standard forever to use zenkaku alphanumerics but I see your point. Google returns many more hits for 2.5次元 than ２．５次元. For terms like ＭＯＸ燃料 and ２進数 the Google hits are the same regardless of the character versions used.
We *can* use the plain ISO/Unicode alphanumerics as well, so I'll include them too.
