Encountered 黒子 in the wild. Various entries are inconsistent with beauty mark vs. spot, the former seems more common, both seem fine to me in AmE.

I'm having a hard time finding any use of the [ok] readings outside of the kokugo entry itself. Google books turned up an interesting ref suggesting ははくろ, at least, is quite an old term indeed...
「ははくろ」が、長い間に「ほくろ」と形を変えたものでしょう.  ははくそ, ははくろ, and ほくそ seem possibly useful today only as etymology.

Suggest splitting med/col senses the same way we did for 脇芽.  I misspoke on another entry saying こくし was [ok] here.  Still, it is quite a bit rarer than the ngrams suggest, and maybe only appears as a medical term.  A couple of refs at least support this, and sankoku does not have こくし at all.

Not in any Japanese dictionaries. We have 「前を隠す」 (to cover one's private parts), so the meaning isn't implausible, but I struggle to find usage of this that isn't just an inflection of 前隠す, rather than a "genital covering".

I'd never heard of "liver spots", but it seems like a legitimate gloss, probably both for this and 日光性黒子.

老人性色素斑 can be glossed as "solar lentigo" as well, but since Japanese has both this and 日光性黒子, the default would seem to be to honor the underlying choice (日光性 = sun/solar, 老人性=age/senile). I imagine the "sun" version is preferred by less-aged patients, but the cause/effect is the same...

Was going to xref 肝斑 (literally "liver spot"). Would you believe this means something different in Japanese than "liver spot" does in English? (I'm editing the entry).  In English, liver/sun/age/etc. spot are all considered synonymous.  Every ref I've found for 肝斑 says 1. specifically both sides of the face 2. not (necessarily) UV-light related at all. 3. different treatments than for lentigo.

Was looking at 黒子, which has an [ok] reading of こくし.  I was going to [sk] こくし as I couldn't find it anywhere, until I found this.   It is not [ok] in this compound.

IME can't produce this term(on windows).  But if you search "日光性黒子" "にっこうせい", you'll only see the suffix こくし.

I think 何がどうなっている is worth having because it is a set phrase and only ever uttered in a single circumstance (that of confusion), but apparently some people disagree because it was deleted years ago (2836942)

This one I am not so sure about. どうなる might be but can it be glossed in a meaningful way?
