Comments: | Problem description (Text Glossing) When the text item 日本最南端の appears in a text being checked in "Text Glossing", the following partial match will be shown: "日本最南端の碑 【にほんさいなんたんのひ】 Nihonsainantannohi (p) NA". Unfortunately this is of no use to anybody not already familiar with the expression 最南端 or 最南 - it would be useful to have just 日本最南端 as something like "Japan's southermost", since it is a kind of fixed expression that is not uncommon (likewise with the other three main compass directions). 最南端 by itself is already handled properly in "Text Glossing" |

Comments: | Suggest [stat1], well worth learning anyway. I failed to recognize this term when getting a corona booster shot today in Shinjuku. Ended up saying something embarrassing (so my judgement here is biased, if you have a better source for current statistics). It was part of the quick Q&A with a nurse before you get the shot. Objectively perhaps 1/3rd to 1/2 as common overall in current media vs. 副作用 as far as I can see. Coronavirus vaccines seems to have wildly increased the commonness of this term since the ngram days(both in direct application and anti-vax movements). I imagine that contributed to the gloss improvements in 2021/2022. |

I can't find it in GG5, daij, koj. could it be that both the reference and book author mis-translated this..? ガス巨星 139 ガスジャイアント 310 巨大ガス惑星 1252 the latter two are already in the dictionary. as always feel free to reject. |
