Where we do have the romanized versions of Japanese terms such as foodstuffs in glosses, we record them as used in English, and in this case it's more usually without macrons.

	Comments:	I just don't think the glosses make sense considering how the word is actually used, and I don't think adding "often -ほど" as a note really helps on that front. If you look at the sentence "喉から手が出るほどほしい" (currently in the news because it was used in a letter by Yamagami), this entry ends up being very confusing and would produce a full sentence "to want something to the extent that you want something very much".
