Sounds like it's technically possible but never really used in practice. Since daijisen has a "加速装置" sense and Marcus found some genuine usages in google books, I can't imagine that anyone will impugn us for keeping the "pedal" meaning as a third sense with a [rare] tag.

  Comments:
I would argue that koj and gakkoku say it's from アクセレーター (I included the others not as support for the change, just to give a fair summary). That plus the inclusion in Luminous plus the evidence of usage seems enough to include it. I'm sure we could find much more (old) usage on lab.ndl if we wanted too. I think it's fine.

The meaning of the first sense wasn't clear to me. Judging by the kokugos I think it's referring to things like graphics or cryptographic accelerators.

Daijirin displays "アクセレレーター," so probably better to make that [rk] rather than [sk].

The kokugos only tell us that アクセル is a shortening of アクセラレーター/accelerator. None of them have an accelerator pedal sense for アクセレレーター.
Looking at the n-grams, I don't think we need an accelerator pedal sense. To say it's "rare" is an understatement.

"rogue" seems to have various implications that "老獪" doesn't have and it is pretty uncommon.
i wouldn't say it's reflecting the kanji meaning, but the meaning is reflected by the kanji. kokugos don't mention experience at all for "悪賢い", but "経験を積んで" is always present to define "老獪" and i think the glosses should do the same here.
note how gg5 translates "老獪な男" to "an old [a cunning] fox; a sly old dog", not because the age itself is important but to denote how his craftiness is influenced by his experienced and this is inherent in "老獪"

That "~な" is not strongly supported.
I think the key point is how the Japanese is glossed; not the precise definitions of the English words in the glossing.

  Comments:
The previous commenter, Robin Scott, claimed that the Wiktionary entry and Wikipedia entry supported the idea that a countable set could be finite. But Wiktionary gives two different definitions of the word in mathematics, and Wikipedia goes into some detail about the two different definitions. The previously-mentioned text by Walter Rudin gives the notion that countable means infinite only, but the book I used at university (G.F. Simmons "Introduction to Topology and Modern Analysis") defines countable to mean either finite or countably infinite.

https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/countable
able to be counted using the natural numbers; finite or denumerable
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Countable_set
The terms enumerable and denumerable may also be used, e.g. referring to countable and countably infinite respectively, but as definitions vary the reader is once again advised to check the definition in use
  Comments:
A countable set can be finite.
The kokugos and 世界大百科事典 treat 可算集合 and 可付番集合 as synonyms.
Several sources say that "countable" and "enumerable" are equivalent whereas "denumerable" only means "countably infinite".

According to the translation of the Rudin book, 可付番 is denumerable or enumerable in mathematics. I'm not entirely sure whether this is the same as "countable", since "countable" in mathematics means that it is infinite. The Rudin translation gives "たかだか可算" for "at most countable" which means either finite or countable (infinite but denumerable). I'll try to look up in other texts later on. Unfortunately it seems that fools like myself rush in to add dictionary entries without the necessary expertise.

although, isn't also the entry on JMDict for 威 incomplete? daijisen says: 鎧(よろい)の札(さね)を革や糸で結び合わせること。また、その革や糸。(my translation: the linking together of armor plates using laces or leather straps. Also, that leather strap or lace.) - So I feel you're interpreting the meaning for 白糸威 using the second meaning of 威, while I'm using the first which is more like the method itself, and that brings about slightly different interpretations.
白糸威 meaning says: 鎧(よろい)の威の一。白い糸でおどしたもの。(my translation: one of the methods/ways of linking together armor plates using laces or later straps. Armor plates held together with white laces.) In that translation I've interpreted 威の一 as "one of the methods/ways" because there is also 赤糸威、黒糸威 and so on... I've expanded 威 replacing it with the first meaning of the previous translation, and replaced もの with "armor plates" because the verb おどす is only performed on the さね after all.
I apologize in the case my japanese is not good enough yet and I've misunderstood the whole thing, that's a concrete possibility, but that's the reason I was getting to a slightly different meaning.
I won't advocate on this further, I trust you guys ^_^
