This seems to be the go-to word to describe separation anxiety-caused clinginess in babies/toddlers, I hear it used like this alot. Sure, in the literal sense, yu are specifically talking about the baby "chasing after" the parent, but this isn't how it's usually phrased like in English. Multiple dictionaries have dedicated entries for describing the deck's location and physical features. Those entries are followed by an explanation of the full idiom. So if we're okay with appealing to their collective judgement, this seems to be a useful entry.

The literal gloss on the linked idiom didn't make sense to me. I've seen photos and depictions of the temple, but I wasn't aware it was named Kiyomizu. I would bet that many other users also aren't aware.

The N-grams posted above suggest that 「清水の舞台から」 is often used by itself as an abbreviated reference to the full idiom or with expressions other than 飛び降りる. I think having this stand-alone entry would be useful for users who come across those variant forms.

I think it's also important that there's nothing about 舞台 that implies "verdana" or any sort of high altitude deck. The expression "清水の舞台" itself doesn't convey its most notable feature.

I don't think the "(located on a steep hillside overlooking Kyoto)" is needed. In fact I doubt this is needed as an entry.

I don't think フリカデル comes from German. The spelling suggests a French origin ("fricadelle"). I found some support for this online. I suggest splitting out フリカデレ (which definitely comes from German) into a separate entry.
