Comments: | I also don't think there's necessarily an issue with having entries like these. My problem is a combination of two things. 1. Someone is randomly selecting obsolete words from old dictionaries and encyclopedias to submit. Notice how five "輪" words (操縦輪, 玉輪, 車輪窓, 輪癬, 輪講会) all arrived at the same time. 2. No research is provided regarding the role of the word in contemporary Japanese. Someone else has to go investigate it. I don't think these old references can be safely taken at face value. I wouldn't raise a fuss if either of these two points were addressed. If we really want to decide which words to investigate by throwing a dart at a list, I'd be happy to put together a list of words from smaller Reiwa-era dictionaries (sankoku, shinmeikai, iwakoku) that aren't in JMdict. |

Comments: | It has an entry in Brit ("see ばら窓") and is mentioned in its and sekai daihyakka jiten's ばら窓 entries. I don't think we have to worry about the meaning being misconstrued here. Refs: | sankoku (entry for 飛ばし): きちんとした根拠のない情報にもとづく記事。 daijirin: 事実であることを確認しないで書かれた記事。飛ばし。 jitsuyou also has a lengthy explanation. Rather than outright fake or bogus news stories, it sounds like this often refers to stories based upon sources that the journalist trusts but cannot reveal. Comments: | My only concern is that アンカーリング may more often be アンカー + リング than an alternative spelling of アンカリング. That being said, it's not a particularly common form so it's unlikely to cause many problems. I'll remerge as suggested (minus アンカー・リング). |

Comments: | Just noting that daijirin has a 〔アンカーリングとも〕 note on its golf sense for アンカリング. A web search for "アンカーリング" "ゴルフ" gets a handful of hits. |
