Reverso is overwhelmingly "laws and regulations", and that is ignoring occurrences of  法令遵守. "laws and ordinances" almost never appears. 

eow.alc.co.jp has even more glosses than I've included in the refs. 

To my mind, and "ordinance" is a law passed by a local government. Here's one sense from oxford:
a law, usually one made by a city or regional government:

To the contrary, the regulations identified by 法令 would not seem to be limited to local government, so the "ordinances" looks a bit odd to me here.

As of this year (2023), Japanese law has a single crime for rape that covers various circumstances. Before that, there was a distinction between "rape involving violence or threat" and "incapacitated rape". According to the kokugos, 暴行 refers to the former category.
In US federal law, the terminology is "by force or threat". Maybe just "by force" is sufficient.

I assume the intended nuance from "(violent)" might be similar to the typically-understood distinction between "assault" and "aggravated assault"? Of course the action in question is inherently violent, but we cannot deny that there is nevertheless a significant difference in *character* between the stereotypical "jumped in an alley" scenario versus the (tragically) more common "taken advantage of by someone you trust" scenario... Looked at reverso.  Perhaps hundreds of examples.

"ordinances" is extremely rare, "regulations" is much, much more common.   "regulatory compliance" and "legal compliance" are extremely common. Maybe "legal compliance" is not the most correct gloss. (regulations can encompass laws, but not vice versa).

I was struck by the frequency of the specific string コンプライアンス（法令遵守）on the Japanese side, and googled it. Lots and lots of pages dedicated to regulatory compliance. 

One type of コンプライアンス given by daijs is 法令遵守(refs). Seems like a reasonable connection.

On a very long page of results I see:
2 x "ordinances" (anywhere in text)
17 x "laws and regulations" (somewhere in the text)
37 x regulatory compliance
21 x legal compliance

I added this term because it came up when I researched タマヒュン. Upon further research, チンさむ現象 originates from a Fuji Television program that ran from 2009 to 2014 called 人志松本の○○な話, as per this source: https://moto-neta.com/movie/chinsamu/

よろしく is a bit different as the entry has a regular kanji form  and a heap of atejis. For this on I htink the ０７２１ will distort the entry. It's not common and I think we can skip it.

We have separate entries for ３９/さんきゅう and ４６４９/よろしく. But I'm not sure this is common enough to warrant an entry.

We need to work out how to handle this. オナニー is already an entry (#1034490) and we don't really want two entries for the same term. Sure we could add  ０７２１ to the existing one, but I'm not sure that we want a rare rhyming-slang form of the word associated with the main entry.

Dialectical, but seems it's used in different regions with other possible meanings. The context I saw it used in was at sentence-end by Kansai-ben speakers. In a previous entry where we couldn't nail the region down, we simply tagged it colloquial.

I don't think any of these idioms belong here (the expression is only half-complete). But this is the flavor.

I believe the underlying entry for 棚に上げる is faulty, in that the glosses act as if they were for *this* entry. Absent a direct object, 棚に上げる can't mean more than "to set aside", "to act as if (an inconvenient truth) does not exist", which is an edit I will make after finishing this entry.

While 棚に上げる is very diverse in what you can ignore (generally some kind of personal shortcoming, but also an inconvenient impediment to a plan you have, etc.), this particular construction is *extremely* common (see ngrams), and is probably the best representative for "棚に上げる".  It's certainly common enough (60,000+ ngrams over its combinations) to be justified here I think.

Note, takashionary.com gives a self-effacing use of the expression, acknowledging a certain hypocrisy in what one is about to say:

I’m saying this by putting myself up on a shelf, but I think he is a bit too fat.

There seems to be something deliberate in the accusation here.  How did your shortcomings/issues/etc *get* on the shelf?  *you* put them there.  棚に上げる currently has "to be blind to one's shortcomings".  But the accusation seems to be that you've (consciously or unconsciously) chosen to ignore your shortcomings.  "to play innocent", I cannot find support for this.  Yes, it is "to act as if one is without fault", but I only see this in the context of judging others.  

The あげる (vs. 上げる) forms are certainly common enough.  [sK] only because all these combinations (事x上げる) seem superfluous (and obvious). Can't get ngrams on the あげる forms because the idiom is too long to have been tallied.

I still wish we could consolidate this の・を・が・は variants into single entries.  Picking は as the most common form (as a basis for *comparison* for hypocritical judgement of someone else). But 自分のことを is also quite common.
