Refs: | 中辞典 2: 〈納付する〉 pay; 〈納品する〉 deliver; supply ¶税金〔月謝〕を納める pay one's taxes 〔tuition〕. |
|
Comments: | It's not just us that combine 収める/納める/おさめる - The three Kenkyusha JEs (GG5, 中辞典, ルミナス) do it too, as do 広辞苑, 大辞林, etc. As shown, 中辞典 has "supply" but indicates in the example that 納める is used. GG5 has a combined 納める/収める entry and a separate 収める entry. That may be the way to go, but it would be a lot of work. Perhaps putting the "to supply" sense back with a 納める restriction would be simpler. |

Comments: | I also heard this word used in an anime too. Here is the complete definition unedited from the source material. a general [an all-out, a comprehensive] attack; an attack on all fronts; an assault; an onslaught; 〔一斉射撃〕 a fusillade. Here is also some example sentences the book had for the word. 軍はゲリラ部隊に一斉攻撃を仕掛けた. The army commenced 「an all-out [a general] attack on the guerrillas. | The army mobilized all its forces against the guerrillas. 不正が発覚し, 彼はマスコミから一斉攻撃を受けた. When his misconduct became known, all the media 「opened fire [came down] on him. ウイルスに感染したパソコンがA社のサイトを一斉攻撃した. All the infected computers attacked the A company site 「at once [simultaneously]. It might also be a 四字熟語. |
