Refs: | 中辞典 2: 〈納付する〉 pay; 〈納品する〉 deliver; supply ¶税金〔月謝〕を納める pay one's taxes 〔tuition〕. |
|
Comments: | It's not just us that combine 収める/納める/おさめる - The three Kenkyusha JEs (GG5, 中辞典, ルミナス) do it too, as do 広辞苑, 大辞林, etc. As shown, 中辞典 has "supply" but indicates in the example that 納める is used. GG5 has a combined 納める/収める entry and a separate 収める entry. That may be the way to go, but it would be a lot of work. Perhaps putting the "to supply" sense back with a 納める restriction would be simpler. |

Comments: | At a bit of s loss here. The only English examples I can find for "organ field" use it for the classification of organ types, which doesn't really fit with 場/ば. I suspect this has cropped up when someone has translated "organ field" literally into Japanese. Anyway, I'm not sure it's safe to have as an entry here. |
