Saito JE also has 飛んだ as a headword.

The two examples that I mentioned in my previous edit:

「おやお嬢様、飛んだ迸りですこと」
妹背貝 (1889) by Iwaya Sazanami (巌谷小波)

「飛んだ御造作を頂きます」
高野聖 (1900) by Izumi Kyōka (泉鏡花)

I could go find more. I just stopped at two.

  Comments:
I missed the "か" at the end of kojien's note.

Still, I think it's just an old-fashioned and rare form. We have many such forms tagged with [rK] that wouldn't be appropriate to use in modern formal writing.
8. A* 2023-11-08 01:28:01  Marcus Richert
  Comments:
It might be etymylogically correct (though koj's note ends with ...か) but still deemed incorrect in formal writing, or at least be considered irregular. I don't think it really qualifies for rK either.

Btw shouldn't PoS be adj-f?

I don't think the antonym cross reference to sense 1 of 低い is right.
As I wrote last year in the entry for 低い:
"Right now it seems we have
   低い[1] <-> 高い[2,3]
   低い[3] <-> 高い[1] (and possibly 低い[2])
   低い[4] <-> 高い[4,5]"

The current priority example sentence indexed to sense 01 of 高い seems like it should be sense 03 instead. It's definitely not high/tall.
  銀行はリスクの高い顧客へのローンには高い金利をつける。
Banks charge higher interest on loans to risky customers.

  Comments:
It looks like I'm not going to get anywhere on this, and I'll let it go. But as a final point of clarification, I don't especially care about the xref. My issue is that I *really* don't think "reference" or "referral" are appropriate glosses here. They aren't generically useful outside of a few idiomatic expressions, and I find them particularly misleading.
8. A 2024-02-01 04:29:54  Jim Breen <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
I don't think they are close enough to justify an xref. None of the JE entries for 照会 suggest 問い合わせ as a synonym.

リファレンスチェックとは
リファレンスチェックは、英語では「Reference Check」、身元照会という意味になります。

https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/信用照会
信用照会 = [credit card] (pre) authorization. We're not going to add "authorization" as a gloss here just to handle this case, I take it:
信用照会	4629
  Comments:
I just read up on every edit I've made since November. I appreciate all of the work in checking updates, and the discussions were all interesting to catch up on.

As a prelude to this comment, I've proposed an entry for 身元照会, which I would argue is idiomatic("reference check"). Even putting "reference" in this entry doesn't fix that entry.

Anyway, of everything since November, this one entry I still disagree on. A question was asked: "why is there an xref to 問い合わせ, they aren't the same..." The sankoku defn. of 照会 is:
1. [名・他さ]問い合わせ(ること)。「手紙でーする」

That's it.

Granting that sankoku is not the be-all-end-all of the Japanese language, you don't get much more "exactly the same" than that. It just seems like we're reading something "special" into this term that isn't really there, perhaps because of some GG5 glosses.

身元の照会/身元照会 is not a good counterexample. It is a completely idiomatic expression. "inquiry into one's work history/past" = "reference check". 身元照会先 "person to whom one inquires to gain information about an applicant's background history" = (job) reference. 1-word translation. The lumine example given:

ルミナス: 詳しい情報については支配人に照会するように言われた I was referred to the manager for detailed information.
is literally "I was told to ask the manager".

照会する is not "refer" here. "照会するように言われる" is "to be referred". You need the whole thing. "To be told to ask someone else" = "refer".

On top of that, there is a homonym 紹介, which *literally* means "introduction" or "referral" in the sense that we usually expect(referral from a doctor). This even leads to mistakes in Japanese (some of which I pointed out in my treatise).

The presence of "reference" is doubly-misleading because of the adjacent entry "照会先" "job reference", which really makes this term look like something it isn't.

And then we have the related-kanji term 参照, which literally means "reference" as in "research material". Same kanji, same gloss, that makes these terms look potentially synonymous, and they aren't at all.

Having "reference" and "referral" here muddies the waters for very little gain. This is a statement from experience, as I'm still untangling this vocabulary in my head.

Almost any argument you could make for including "reference" or "referral" here could be made for adding them to 問い合わせ. For example, here's the lumine example:
問い合わせるように	2563	92.9%
照会するように	196	7.1%

https://ejje.weblio.jp/content/問い合わせる
詳しいことについては秘書に問い合わせるように言われた.
I was referred to the secretary for detailed information.

Would it not be silly to add "reference" to 問い合わせ for that? This is precisely why I put the xref in, as a means of saying "hey, these really are almost exactly the same".

  Comments:
Possibly [exp].

sankoku gives under 仲間 as a collocation simply as ~入り. No definition or example.

Actually encountered this organically in a story about a teen growing up in Tokyo. Context was surely joining some clique or gang. The previous gloss conceals a rather unusual structure; It's more like "entering into someone's/some-group's friend group or inner-circle", so the context needs to somehow specify *which* "friend group" you are talking about. 仲間 is otherwise floating here. の is not required if it is evident from context, but ngrams show の is included explicitly more than half of the time.

Some quick yourei collocations:
作者を一躍人気作家の仲間入りさせた
王族の仲間入りを果たした
豪商の仲間入りを果たした
純粋培養の仲間入りをしなくてはいけなかった
私自身も亀の仲間入りをした気持になってくる
スターの仲間入りを果たす
高校進学者の仲間入りをする
おれ達の仲間入りをしないんだ?
....
Obviously there are a million of these (1700 yourei results for 仲間入り)

Maybe [rare], certainly by comparison, but perfectly googlable. Still, maybe not readily comprehensible by an average Japanese person.

Reverso for xref is "rubbing" or "rubbed copy". This term is not on reverso.

Found this the other way around from 拓本, which lists this as a synonym/related at the end.

The sankoku defn. of this term, in turn, is just 拓本.

I don't think "print from stone" is a gloss. Experiences differ, but I'm sure we did this a bunch of times in elementary school, I don't think the concept should be overly foreign. Maybe an [expl] since "rubbing" is so ambiguous out of context. Thought about [art] to disambiguate (as wikipedia does), but this seems to exist historically as a more practical activity.

"rogue" seems to have various implications that "老獪" doesn't have and it is pretty uncommon.
i wouldn't say it's reflecting the kanji meaning, but the meaning is reflected by the kanji. kokugos don't mention experience at all for "悪賢い", but "経験を積んで" is always present to define "老獪" and i think the glosses should do the same here.
note how gg5 translates "老獪な男" to "an old [a cunning] fox; a sly old dog", not because the age itself is important but to denote how his craftiness is influenced by his experienced and this is inherent in "老獪"

dais:1 憤りを覚えるさま。腹立たしい。

http://imagict.com/ja/words/憤ろしい
憤ろしい - 和英辞典
[ 形 ] exasperating , infuriating , maddening , vexing
■ extremely annoying or displeasing

yourei example:
具体的には我慢のならないほど憤ろしいことなのだった。
another:
その灼やきつくような眸は、憤ろしい涙にうるんでいる。

A single example with 憤ろしい and 腹立たしい back to back (probably to mix up the vocabulary)
高田の言う通り、江崎はファウスリーゼに一方的な妄想を抱いていたようだった。それが裏切られたのが憤ろしいのだろう。腹立たしいのはファウスリーゼも同じだった。

Simple: "It is infuriating": 憤ろしいのである
太郎が眠って終っているから一人で出た。憤ろしいのである。リツ子の母が可也君の炭代を出してくれぬ。
  Comments:
As a one word translation, google gives "infuriating". "憤ろしい人" doesn't exist (google).

The object of 憤ろしい, when given explicitly, seems to usually be the cause of outrage, not the person feeling it. daijs gives 腹立たしい, which we gloss in this way. sankoku: 腹が立ってたまらない気持ちだ。

sankoku says 文, so I'm picking [form] over [rare]. But:
腹立たしい	196914	99.9%
憤ろしい	133	0.1%

Happened to find a direct comment on this that probably applies to a lot of [rare][form]. "Haven't used once in my life, a lot of Japanese people probably couldn't even read it":
https://ja.hinative.com/questions/16085136
現代の日本語としては、ほぼ使われません。僕も人生で一度も使ったことがありません。「憤ろしい」を「いきどおろしい」と読めない日本語ネイティブが多い、というくらい稀な言葉です。
かなり強めに腹を立てる感じだと思います。

This is what I would imagine as [form][rare]. We have a lot of these.

Now, it seems like there is another usage. Yourei has "憤ろしい顔" and "憤ろしい涙", where it probably just means "angry face/tears" (as google translates). But "腹立たしい" will generate the same examples.

At 259 Google n-grams for ラリッタ, it seems like a weak basis for keeping it,. I think this entry is also potentially "harmful" in that users could reverse search their way here and misundersrand how to use it.

As I commented back in 2015, the only reason for having this is the ラリッタ form, which doesn't clearly align with ラリる.
We could have it as the only form in the entry, but ラリッた and らりった may as well be there too.

"

It seems there was a mistake with 東京/日本 at the start, but I believe it should be deleted, since both 日本女子体育大学 (entry 5582705) and 東京女子体育大学 (entry 5553278) already exist.

There appears to be a mistake in the reading of 石 (じき → せき), though I can't quite confirm whether the whole term is supposed to have an irregular reading.

I believe the reading should reflect when the spelling changes from ~機関(きかん) to ~機構(きこう). I've also added the non-mazegaki version for the ~機関 spelling.
