Some of the kokugos split into multiple senses ("to receive an education (at a university)", "to learn a lesson from an experience", etc.).
Prog also splits into 3 senses.
Not sure how much of that is needed.

"close relationship" comes up a few times. Saying "close friendship" might be saying a bit too much.
https://context.reverso.net/translation/japanese-english/懇意
  Comments:
"kindness" did not seem to fit the others in [1]. After searching, seems there is a distinct sense in the kokugos, so I have split.

Not confident on what to do with [2] because it's hard to find clear examples of. wiktionary just says "親切", kokugos say 親切な心. [2] seems absent from sankoku, wiktionary marks 古用法. First reference likens to 「親切な気持ち」や「好意」, I've xrefed the latter. [dated] suggests old-fashioned, this seems to be no longer in use, in favor of a different common meaning, so I've guessed [obs].

For [1], seems like the usual collocation is ~にしている, but we don't have that one. ("to be on intimate terms with", rather than "become close friends with"). Might be worth adding, in eijiro:
~と懇意にしている
be on friendly terms with
have a close friendship with
be on familiar terms with

Yes, I think restrictions for 喪う are bit messy. The "iK" should be enough.
I'll do a 亡う entry. It's gikun-ish, and would be a painful addition here. I wondered about a simple note of the "also written" variety, but it's common enough to warrant being searchable.

  Comments:
See comments on 養分. They all apply here(pretty sure the terms are synonymous). eijiro has some more fanciful glosses under this term, but I don't think they negate the point.

I had to look up what "nutriment" means. I think "nutrient" is actually the correct term in this case.

I like this eijiro gloss:
栄養分を強化したパン
fortified bread

Obviously, it was "nutrients" that were added, not "nutrition".

Looking at the eijiro examples, we could certainly add, for example, an entry "to nourish"

But I don't think that makes 栄養分 into "nourishment" (or nutrition).

As “digging for potatoes”, a misspelling of 芋掘り (手 not 土) (digging vs. ditch).

The sense “potato field (furrows)” (currently incorrectly at 芋掘り) seems to apply here, hence switching them.
(Not in dicts and Google hits are mostly a misspelling of 芋掘り, but presumably a technical agricultural term.)

8 - What is the difference between a blackout curtain and a room darkening curtain?
A blackout curtain offers blackout effect up to 100% whole a room darkening curtain blocks out the light around 90% to 95%. Please see our comparison chart to understand which curtain offers the right light blocking effect for you.
  Comments:
Note: "curtains" pluralized intentionally here, as this is a common form. (カーテン is "curtain; curtains")

You can use 遮光 to describe lower levels of light blocking, but once you stick 遮光 to カーテン, it seems to imply pretty significant blockage.

Only question is whether the definitions of "blackout curtain" and "遮光カーテン" are completely overlapping. "light-blocking curtain" allows a little flexibility there I suppose.

"opaque curtain" returns 9 hits on google... "lined curtain" describes one possible mechanism, but not the effect.

"lampshade" feels improbable, and I can't find much to support it. "shade" should do the job if necessary. Is there any source for this outside of gg5? (I see it was added deliberately).

I do see this fragment in the first google book result:
【遮光幕】(名) (燈光管制的)遮光幕。◇ ~をかける/掛上遮光幕。
But I don't think that makes this a "lampshade" (conical thing on a lamp). And this use would be [obs] or [arch] or something...

The most common use is 1 shade separating the driver's compartment of a train from the passenger compartment.

Image search is all trains.

yourei results are dominated by vehicle equipment layout.

I put what I thought was the minimum gloss to say "use the xref when curtain shopping". This is [rare] (at least today) for "bedroom curtains", but it appears to have an active use in vehicles.
