I think it is a separate sense but the JEs and smaller kokugos don't mention it. Probably safe to ignore.
I don't think "profanity" or "swear word" should lead. That's a specific type of vulgarity. None of the Japanese examples on the 卑語 Wikipedia article are swear words.

Brian, we don't give priority to one particular variety of English. Plenty of entries have the BrE term/spelling first. (I get a red line under "parlor", for what it's worth).
In cases like this, where spelling variants are unlikely to be useful for E->J lookups, one spelling is sufficient. We've largely stopped putting BrE/AmE spellings in brackets at the end of the gloss.

　話題のきっかけは、日本テレビ系で2022/8/22に放映された『月曜から夜ふかし』。2021年末、約8年ぶりに刷新された『三省堂国語辞典』第八版で約1100語が削除されたという特集で、「着メロ」「MD」「コギャル」「伝言ダイヤル」「テレカ」「プラズマディスプレイ」「プロフ」「携番」「スペースシャトル」「タカラジェンヌ」「マイナスイオン」「垂直飛び」「ボイン」といった言葉が紹介されました。

My gut said that since 携帯 has long been replaced by スマホ, this term should follow.

Didn't expect to find support for this, but the 8th edition of sankoku has apparently dropped this term(I have the 7th edition, and it's still present).

There are other terms such as 睡眠不足 (current entry) and 睡眠遮断 which are in the references and which are used for the medical condition. 現責 seems only to be used to refer to the Edo period punishment.
