Comments: | I still feel quite strongly that an explanatory note on sense 3 is appropriate and helpful. I want to put an xref here from 虫の知らせ but what's the point if we don't explain that this was originally used literally? I think the etymology/traditional belief has bearings on how the word is used/understood today as well. |
