1. [n]

  Comments:
The kokugos define this as "ムラサキイガイの別名" but ムール貝 is used to refer to a number of different species. "blue/common mussel", which is several of the JEs, is Mytilus edulis, but the most commonly sold ムール貝 in Japan is the Mediterranean mussel (Mytilus galloprovincialis).
lsrc tag not appropriate here as "貝" doesn't come from French.
I don't think "moule" is used in English.

The split entry in Meikyo 2e that I referred to is actually an entry for かこつける rather than ことづける.
Oukoku has two senses for ことづける, but they're both (verbal message and parcel) covered by our sense [1].

Maybe the priority tags should be downgraded to [ichi2]?

Our sense [2] isn't in meikyo 1e, which has 言付ける and 託ける in one entry.

Meikyo 2e splits 言付ける and 託ける into separate entries and has our sense [2] in the entry for 託ける.

Oukoku has both kanji forms and both senses in one entry. Doesn't seem that it's archaic.
