Comments: | I don't think any of these senses are suffixes. Although it's in GG5, I think the "hiding place" sense is archaic/obsolete. It's not in the other JEs or meikyo/shinmeikai (or even daijs). Daijr's example is from the Meiji era. I don't think the "underbelly" sense is needed. The kokugos describe it as a "江戸後期の流行語". |

Comments: | Having seen a "Tataki-zomé" workshop offered in a botanical garden in France, I found online that such workshops also exist in Japan (and elsewhere in the world). After further online research, it seems that the term is also used in Kasuri (絣) dyeing. |

Comments: | Perhaps should mention it's not really correct. |

Comments: | Is "口裂 - cytostome" not a mistake? The kanji don't appear to correspond to the meaning. I'm not seeing any relevant online results for "cytostome 口裂". |

Comments: | Yes, they are two different things and the EJs lead with 細胞口 for cytostome but most refs, including LSD, mix them up. I think a sense split is best, and I've proposed an entry for 細胞口. |
