And it's worth pointing out it doesn't seem to have been uk at the time the ngrams were compiled either, some 15 years ago.

Koi, Daijisen, GG5 - none show any kanji.

Obviously it's becoming fashionable in places like Twitter to use kanji for this. The arrival of IMEs has encouraged this.

I don't see any evidence for it being more commonly written with kana. It's perfectly possible it's more common in transcripts, books etc. as "おっす" but that's only one specific arena and probably not the one that's the most relevant for an informal male greeting. The young males using it on Twitter obviously prefer 押忍.

The main WWW usage of that surface form appears to be in "隼人の校しゃ", and is heavily manga related.
I've also found it in some kids' writing which seems to back up Rene's comment.
We don't really have an agreed threshold for accepting/rejecting odd-ball surface forms. 327 as an n-gram count would be fine if 校舎 wasn't all that common itself, but in fact it's very common so 校しゃ is relatively close to being noise.
I guess on balance, given the manga context of its use, I'd keep it.

This orthography was found semi-automatically by looking for example words in the Joyo Kanji 2010 PDF file, and checking whether their ortographies versions were missing from JMdict.  It seems to be less common than 船宿; but it's in use by Wikipedia and elsewhere.

Note that Joyo Kanji specifies ふな as a standard reading of 舟, not just 船.

Various websites bear out this meaning and its reading, but search results returned are, predictably, of unclad men (drawings and photographs) covered in sushi. NSFW, unless it's a working lunch.

Coordinate term of 女体盛り; I've kept the sense the same except for the woman→man part.

Might be classified as 'rare', especially compared to 女体盛り, and not nearly as popular apparently, but perhaps a tad above [obsc]?
