空予約とは、ひとことで言うと「予約があったのにもかかわらず結果使われなかった」現象のことです。
最近だと飲食店の空予約が社会問題になっているので、知っている方も多いと思います。

https://www.bengo4.com/c_1015/c_1885/b_1070273/
限度を越えた空注文への対応 ...
【相談の背景】
家具小売店の店員です。取り寄せ商品を約300万円注文されて、すでに入荷しているお客様なのですが、納品日と支払いの延期を繰り返され、4年過ぎてしまいました。

https://detail.chiebukuro.yahoo.co.jp/qa/question_detail/q13143913408
Q: "AKB48で空注文という言葉をよく聞くのですが、空注文とはなんですか?"
BA: "抽選予約販売のCDで当選したけど金を払わないでスルーしちゃう。"
  Comments:
I don't think things like "カラ予約" (and 空注文) were really adequately covered.
I see gg5 has it in its catch-all sense 3:
3 【空-】 〔実質を伴わないこと〕
◧空車(からぐるま) =くうしゃ 1. [available (taxi). I think this could be viewed as belonging to our sense 1]
空元気 ⇒からげんき. [put-on cheeriness.]
空手 ⇒からて1.
空手形 ⇒からてがた. [bad (fictitious) bill]
空取引 a fictitious transaction.
空約束 ⇒からやくそく. [empty promise]
空薬莢(やっきょう) a spent cartridge; a spent shell (casing).

Is this maybe too wide to be contained in a single sense?

If I connect a new customer to the business I deal with, the business will thank me like 田中さんをご紹介いただき、ありがとう御座います。
In English, in most cases this is stated like "Thank you for referring Mr. Tanaka to our business."
So, I disagree with the previous edit of removing "referral" here.

After all, you have "referral fee" as the translation for 紹介料 and it is correct.

I'm not convinced there really is an "unauthorised" sense here. 野良アプリ refers to an app that isn't downloaded via an official app store, but to my knowledge, 野良 isn't used in other terms to mean "unauthorised". We have no reference saying that 野良 = "unauthorised". It's not mentioned on ニコニコ大百科's 野良 entry, which has the gaming sense we just added.
Unless we can find other examples, I think the sense should be dropped.

I used to need the tags on both forms to get the (P) in EDICT, but that's no longer the case. The "newsX" was basically a ranking based on a 20yo newspaper analysis. The "news2" ones didn't even generate a (P). No need to remove them, I guess.

more than half of the products actually use のぼり/ノボリ in the title, several don't even feature it in the description (i.e. it's an "sK" essentially)
https://www.monotaro.com/s/?c=&q=のぼり のぼり 1309 hits
  Comments:
Well, I've done it several times after getting an OK from Jim, so there will already be several entries where the kanji form doesn't have the same tags as the hiragana. I think having frequency tags on little used kanji forms makes things for users because the obvious implication is that the kanji is very common and worth prioritizing when the reality is, like here, that it's very sparsely used.

  Comments:
I don't recall seeing priority tags removed from borderline-rare kanji forms. In any case, this one doesn't seem to be borderline.

There's already a [uk] tag to indicate that のぼり is more common.

There are some technical app-dev reasons why I'd rather have the priority tags in both fields in this situation. It would be a different story if we were adding an [rK] tag to 幟.

The 何時 in that GG5 examples is most likely なんじ, not いつ. Probably best to drop the kanji form to prevent false matches.
This isn't always interchangeable with いつでも. I think "whenever" and "at any time" are misleading.
It's often used in negative sentences, where it's better translated as "never" (e.g. いつになっても慣れない, いつになっても色褪せない).

Just noticed that this is in jmdict. Should definitely be in the name dictionary

OK, I can live with that. If we change in the future they're not hard to find.
I'll flip the current "product" magazines to "work".
3. A* 2022-05-15 16:39:00  Stephen Kraus <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
I'd be in favor of categorizing all forms of media under [work]. To me
the [product] category seems better suited for fungible commodities
and/or substitutable goods like cars, computer hardware, brand-name
foods and drugs, etc.
