The "であるから、それにふさわしく" sense is our sense 1.
"contrary to expectations" doesn't work as a gloss for sense 2, and it's not really about "negatives" but rather unexpected results.
Added sense (from GG5 and meikyo).

daijr has 3 senses, but only one aligns with ours. koj 1. nikk 2

could this 3 be translated as "fittingly; suitably"? or should it be "given ..., it is suitable that"

this is often used when explaining a pun, e.g.

As it's in shinmeikai, よわいする is probably worth recording (as a separate entry).
Given the low the ngram counts we wouldn't usually include いい齢して, but it might be worth having to prevent mismatches with the new 歯する/齢する entry.

A google image search for いい齢して shows it used in a few different manga.
In one image it has とし furigana (although it's quite blurry):
  http://blog.livedoor.jp/yutoriyuki/archives/17111033.html

Maybe we can at least add an [iK] form to our entry for いい年して.

How about the [vs,vi] sense on this entry? I wouldn't object to dropping it.

  Comments:
I'd guess that 齢 is always read とし in in いい齢. There are plenty of instances of 齢 in Aozora Bunko that have とし as furigana, including the above "いい齢" example. We could add 齢 as an iK form to 年/とし (or いい齢 to いい年) but I don't think it's common enough.

By the way, the kanjidic entry for 滑 has "flunk" as one of the meanings, which I don't quite think is correct. (The closest to that I see is a meaning of "乱す", like disorder.)
