added "piece of identification" (to ID) because
a) it's not necessarily a *document* in the usual sense (can refer to a card, for example):
- 代わりとなる写真付きの身分証明書 other acceptable form of picture ID
- ならばなぜ、彼らは日本国籍を持っているのに、前科者のように身分証明書を持ち歩いているのですか?Then as Japanese
citizens why are they forced to still carry around ID cards like ex-convicts?
b) the Wp article suggests it (see quote above)

Inflected forms (-んで and -んだ) are more common than the dictionary form, so the "〜をつぐむ" usage note might be misleading.

Lots of questions about this on chiebukuro as well.
https://detail.chiebukuro.yahoo.co.jp/qa/question_detail/q12189583437
Apparently たぐ.い was added to the 常用 list in 2010. Before that, 類 only had one reading on the list (音: るい).

This chiebukoro user saw 類い written in a recently-published novel written by a famous author. Then after using 類い at work, they were told by a work colleague that 類い is incorrect because it's written as 類 in kojien.

The impression that I get is that 類 is the most commonly used form, but the government is trying to promote 類い in official writing due to the ambiguity with るい. It seems this style hasn't yet entirely caught on, however.

I think "crossing over" should be a separate sense. I can't find any recent examples with this meaning.

OK, I can live with that. If we change in the future they're not hard to find.
I'll flip the current "product" magazines to "work".
3. A* 2022-05-15 16:39:00  Stephen Kraus <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
I'd be in favor of categorizing all forms of media under [work]. To me
the [product] category seems better suited for fungible commodities
and/or substitutable goods like cars, computer hardware, brand-name
foods and drugs, etc.
