I think シリコンゴム is so widespread that it's considered a valid (though technically incorrect) alternative form. The first link above is a manufacturer of silicone rubber and it uses the シリコンゴム spelling.
I don't think シリコンゴム needs an ik tag but シリコーンゴム should probably lead.
I'd be in favour of a "non-standard" note on the "silicone" sense of シリコン.

Obviously シリコン and シリコーン are commonly mixed up (just like in ENglish) but the kokugos don't list シリコン as an acceptable substitue for シリコーン. シリコーンゴム but not シリコンゴム is in Daij, Nikk, Shinjirin and Nipp. I don't think シリコン should lead and I think the "silicone" def in the シリコーン entry be tagged as [col] or maybe have a note or something. This was split out from うろ覚え (in 2012) because the kokugos only have おろおぼえ as a reading for 疎覚え, but several online sources state that 疎覚え is the kanji for うろおぼえ (without mentioning おろおぼえ at all).
Judging from the examples in the kokugos, おろおぼえ is archaic, while 疎覚え remains only as an obscure, non-standard kanji form of うろおぼえ. Should we add 疎覚え back to the うろ覚え entry as an iK form?

Isn't this too compositional?

Always give a reason for a deletion. This one should possibly be turned into a JMdict entry.

I agree that "Minami Ward" is fine. I think that should be our style for all non-unique 区s and 町s.

I'd be happy with that, although of course it isn't just one place. Then there are probably heaps of 旭町s around too. Any other comments?

I don't think "... (multiple cities)" is great. I don't think it will be obvious to all users what the intended meaning is. If we're not going to mention the specific cities, isn't it better as just "Minami Ward"?

There is a heap of name entries of the XXX市南区 (and other YY区 patterns), e.g. 札幌市南区, 京都市南区, etc. I'm planning to just have the ward name and remove the longer compositional names. Before starting I'd like to have the basic glossing format of YY区 names agreed. I'm suggesting the above for names that occur in multiple cities, and for less common ones use something like "清田区 .... Kiyota Ward (Sapporo)".
Does that seem OK?

OK, we can do it that way for 南区, 北区. etc.
