Comments: | I was looking at the proportions of the kanji forms, and I agree given the large numbers of kana-only counts it's ok for rK status. The ichiN tags are indicating membership of the Ichigo list, and probably shouldn't be stripped. Leaving it just on the kana is probably OK, although it hides that both the kanji forms are on the list. |

Comments: | I don't think there's any issue tagging what happens to be the "leading kanji in the kokugos" with [rK]. We have plenty of such entries where the only kanji associated with the word is tagged [rK]. Either way though, [ichi1] should go from the kanji surface forms. |

Comments: | No need to insult anybody's "capacities," we're all just working towards making the best dictionary possible. Somebody has to make a decision on what should be included and what shouldn't, and the entire editorial team is doing precisely that on a voluntary basis. Since it's in the latest edition of daijs, I'm OK with us including it too, even though it's rather A+B (unlike the abbreviated オン飲み which has been an entry since March 2020) |

Comments: | This entry was originally in jmdict, but it is now the only entry in all of jmnedict with a priority tag. The film described by the gloss premiered in 2005, but the wordfreq file from which the [gai1] tags originate (according to the notes in the JMdict file preamble) was compiled in the 1990s. I thought maybe the term might have been popular in the 1990s for some other reason, but I checked the wordfreq file and don't actually see it in there. It doesn't appear in the search results for "ブーツ", and "キンキー" returns no results. $ grep "ブーツ" wordfreq_utf8 ブーツ+1 72 ワークブーツ+2 5 ショートブーツ+2 4 ブーツェン+2 3 ロングブーツ+2 3 スーパーロングブーツ+2 2 スノーブーツ+2 1 ハイカットブーツ+2 1 ブーツキーパー+2 1 |
