The question here is whether Japanese people use パウンド for the # symbol. The English Wikipedia entry is quite irrelevant.
I don't have access to 「モノのなまえ辞典」 and have no view of its level of authority, but I'd need evidence before accepting this new sense. It's not in any of the JE or JJ dictionaries I checked.

I disagree, in this specific field/theory or ehatever the usual English term appears to be "laggard". "late adopter" can be confused with "late majority" also, which is a different group.

I'm in favour of having good coverage of 複合動詞, and the fact that it's not the initial sense of the V1 component is a good reason for keeping it.

This is just sense 3 of 絡む + 出す (start doing). Given the n-gram counts, I don't think it's needed.

I think the consensus is that we don't really need most country+suffix types of entries because 1) if we're aiming for completeness and consistency, which we are, there's a whole lot of each of them to add and 2) they're A+B and not hard to decipher.

To be clear, I don't really see a problem with X軍 entries. They're useful.
