Comments: | I don't think the TV entry should be amended but I wouldn't object to adding "TV〜" forms to the kanji fields of the テレビ〜 entries. |

Comments: | We thrashed this around some years back in 2717290. As that "TVジョッキー" Wiki page indicates, it was usually spoken テレビジョッキー. Maybe the time has come to make テレビ a formal reading of TV. We should have a discussion about it. |

Comments: | The word itself often has negative connotations, regardless of what kanji are used. Daijs and smk have two senses. 棲家 doesn't have negative connotations (or refer to animals) in 終の棲家. I think the 栖 count is mostly false positives. 住家 is usually じゅうか. Only daijs and nikk have 住家 for すみか. I think じゅうか should be a separate entry. |

Comments: | Thanks for the clarification. I was going to argue these senses shouldn't be included because it's a conjugation for only a limited set of verb classes (一段 and する/くる?) and we don't have similar entries for -そう, -とう, etc. which should be equally valid... but I realized these senses are actually included in daijs' and daijr's よう entries and we do actually have an entry for "た" ("indicates past tense") in JMDict as well. _ My preference would still be to follow GG5's example to not include these senses and also not have an entry for た, but I guess that'd be a topic for the mailing list instead of the comment section of this one entry. _ In the meanwhile, I've tried improve the 3 senses because I don't think the definitions/notes were very clear. I've moved the previous glosses into usage notes and added actual glosses. To what extent the glosses are helpful, I'm not sure, but until the separate issue of glossless senses are resolved, maybe this will do. I also moved the previous sense 1 to sense 3 as I think it's the least common aux-v usage (if that's indeed the correct PoS). _ "verb stem" - is this the right term? I forget |
