グラブ is more commonly "glove" and is proposed to merge with グローブ. I can only find the "grab" usage in this context.

shinmeikai has たすけて【助（け）手】 and we have a corresponding entry 1344450. Maybe すけて could go there.

The kokugos all have an entry for 助手/すけて with the first sense the same as here. Most have a second archaic sense about an assistant at the 節会相撲. I'm comfortable with this entry the way it is, but maybe we could consider splitting 助手/すけて off.
