Comments: | I agree with Marcus. An EJ dictionary wouldn't include a "上に何が..." sense for "what's up?" just to cover usage like "what's up there?" When it comes to literal and other meanings of expressions that aren't included in other dictionaries, I think we probably err on the side of inclusion a little too often. Sometimes we have to trust that users will understand that an expression can be a set phrase while also have another meaning if it appears in another context, that isn't really worth noting.
