I see all the references have this as two entries:

退ける/どける: sense 1 only
While the merge sort-of makes sense, it probably is a bit aggressive and makes for messy sense restrictions. Probably better to crack it open. I'll set it up that way. Example sentences are for どける only.
Not sure of that restriction on sense 2.

I just want to comment that "magical girl" should probably be the first gloss here. It is by far and easily the default sense as the word is used in in contemporary japanese. It's an entire codified archetype, not a "stock character"; and "magical girl" is the established and proper english term for referring to the same archetype.

In fact, I might go as far as to say that "young witch" should be a second, separate gloss (i.e. behind a [2]). Mahou shoujo are associated with witches (see: madoka magica, etc), but that association is auxiliary to the mahou shoujo archetype itself.

We had it as さらもん originally. I changed it to さらとい earlier this year. That being said, the third link I posted below is from 2009, so it's not a new word.

Not sure the best way to word this. Google ペンタブ 手ブレ補正 for examples of this usage. It probably also applies to mouse and finger input systems.

The usage patterns for the two definitions seem slightly different and there isn't really a direct bridge between them, so I'm hesitant to merge them into a single "stabilization" definition (which would also be vague and misleading).

It miiiight be helpful to add a second definition to 手ブレ too*, but it's probably not necessary, as using this definition for it on its own is a lot less common than this compound. Rather than adding a second definition to 手ブレ it might be a good idea to make 手ブレ's definition more broad instead.

It's also useful to have as a fallback for when we don't have the term. For example, mecab/unidic 
(unsurprisingly) breaks up 「ジャズる」 into ジャズ + る. The text glossing on wwwjdic also picks up ジャズ 
separately.

I'm not sure it's needed. It's not as if anyone really needs to look up "る" to see what is happening.
