Apparently this is a calque from English(at least for sense [2]). Never heard of it, but "royal road" is the most common reverso gloss.

sankoku does not identify as adj-na, but usage suggests otherwise.  There is a 的 form, which I have created separately. Yourei has 940 examples, 60 of which are 的. の seems more common as an adj. than な, but な does appear.  As an adjective this *seems* to be at least primarily (perhaps entirely) sense [3].

I agree that "two weeks" should lead but is this entry even needed? I don't think it's necessary to have a Japanese translation for "fortnight". Anyone can work out that "two weeks" is "2週間".

My intention was to place the more "universal" [0] gloss first. At least in my understanding, "two 
weeks" isn't strictly AmEng. This is also how gg5 has it (which doesn't mark "two weeks" as 米, but does 
mark "fortnight"). I think we can agree that the order of our glosses matters, even if we don't agree on 
the particular.

I wonder whether the phrasing here is quite right. In particular, I don't think the word "only" is good - it implies that the target of these does not have anything beyond physical looks.

For example, a mother might think to herself, うちの娘、面食いだわ if her daughter brings home a so-called pretty boy. It does not make judgement that the boy is poor in character, just that the boy is handsome and that was what the daughter was attracted to.

Could something like "person who falls for pretty people easily" work? I think it would be more accurate.

I personally checked 大辞林, 新明解, 大辞泉, 明鏡, and 広辞苑.

The existing definition seems to be a translation of "言語に絶する" that was mistakenly applied to 絶する alone.
The new definitions are only suggestions since I haven't seen this word enough to get a sense for its usage (especially in the second sense) yet. It seems to only be listed as intransitive in most dictionaries that include that information, but 明鏡 has it as 自他サ変 and gives "音信が絶する" as a usage example.
