Comments: | I quote the message of this guy "I think it has a strong sense of finality. (So it's more like "Finally," instead of just "and") I used to use it to much, and once when I was talking to my teacher at language school and said it for the 3rd or 4th time, he suddenly laughed and exclaimed "またそし て???". The first time I said it (I assume) it sounded like I was winding up my explanation... but then it just kept dragging on which surprised him. Maybe something like: Today we went to a movie, did a bunch fo stuff, blah blah blah and then finally we got home and were tired. |

I feel trying to fit this particular usage into sense 4 would lead to an odd POS and clashing glosses. The [abbr] and reference to ちょっと難しい can be dropped. |

Comments: | Yeah, it's one of the heap from the old JIS computing terms glossary which back in 2008 we decided to tip into the dictionary and mop up afterwards. Many of the terms never really got used in Japanese - I think someone just translated the English rather than working out what was actually used in Japanese. The give-away is the 23nnnnnn number and the 2008 date. This may as well go. |

Comments: | Kojien is great but you need to be wary of its sense ordering as they are based on historical usage rather than contemporary. The JEs only have our current sense 3, which is plainly the most common modern use. Although we usually have senses that are prefixes later in the entry, I think it would be appropriate to make it the first one here. I think the propose sense is related, but perhaps it's best kept in a separate sense. I propose dropping じょう; it's only in Daijirin (「じょう」とも) and only applies to one sense. If this (re)ordering is approved, please adjust the xref target sense in 2427720. |
