	Comments:	See lengthy discussion on 2119760 (うむ). Quoting what I wrote there for the record: うむ. GG5 has (1) wh-huh; yeh; yep; yes; all right; (2) hum; hmmm; well. Daijr has 「うん」に同じううむ. We have "erm; hurm" うん. We have "yes; yeah; uh huh". GG5 has (1a) yes; all right; hm! (1b) hum; hmmm; well. (2) a moan; a groan; a grunt (of pain) 中辞典 has "uh-huh; yeh; yes; (all) right; okay; 〈気がつく〉 uh; I see" ううん. We have (1) no; (2) er, well, ...; (3) groan. GG5 has (1) no; uh-uh; uh-unh. (2) er; hmm; ugh; oof. (3) oh; aha; uh-uh It seems to me that ううむ, うん and うむ could well be merged. From that leading "no" sense it's hard to see ううん fitting in to a merge. 	Comments:	I think there's something with sense 2 that is not quite right. I think it's not the act of being down, but the act of running out of strength, crashing halfway. 学研国語大辞典 uses 「酒を飲み過ぎてついにダウンした」 as the example. "Being down" clearly doesn't fit there. In a competitive test of endurance you might say to your partner 「俺より先にダウンすんじゃねーぞ！」 "Don't you dare to drop (collapse) before me" I hope an editor can take a look at this and suggest a solution.

	Comments:	Probably the most badly-taught term in JSL. At first I thought the long note was too much, but think we have a responsibility to get the context and usage right. I moved the kanji comments to the end as their use is really marginal at best.

	Refs:	daijs usage note: 現代語では敬意の程度は低く、学生が先生に、また若者が年配者に対して用いるのは好ましくない。 I don't think sense 1 should have [pol], it doesn't really reflect how the word is used today. https://www.jstage.jst.go.jp/article/nihongokyoiku/163/0/163_64/_pdf/-char/ja I'm unable to copy from this pdf (some kind of copyright protection maybe) but this entire paper is super relevant to how "anata" should be defined. for example, out of the people who answered they never use the word "あなた" with people below them in rank (対下位者), 20% answered because it was rude, 70% because it was "distancing". This comment on use between equals (対同等者) is also illuminating: "日頃名前で呼んでいる仲の人に「あなた」と呼びかけられると、なんか関係が悪くなるようなことしてしまったかなと思う" otoh this is partially because they view it as polite! I feel a [sens] tag wouldn't be out of place - it's not always sensitive, but it might be good to explain to learners that they absolutely need to be careful with this word.

	Comments:	Isn't it more likely to be archaic? Like Kojien, Nikkoku lists senses in historical order. Nikk's example (which is usually the earliest known usage) comes from 1223. The fact that no other kokugo even mentions this meaning suggests that it was never common, which is why I feel we can probably ignore it.
