Comments: | I prefer "Dallas (United States)" or "Dallas (US)". For state capitals I suggest "City (State)". "Boise", "Pierre", "Helena", etc. need some context. But I wonder if it would be better to amend our policy on place names. I don't think state capitals are especially important for a JE dictionary (unless they're major cities). |

Comments: | My bad. (this falls under "other significant cities" though and should still be reinstated, I think) Some of the state capitals might be a little obscure in terms of international importance but I don't have any issues with how the policy is currently worded and we're only looking at a total of 50 entries in total anyway. |

Comments: | almost every kokugo is using トンネル or a road/railway as its example for the word, but the words pierce and penetrate and perforate sound like they only apply to bullets or needles would it be pertinent to move "passing through" to the top? by the way, the word "pierce" does not imply that the bullet comes out from the other side but I think the word 貫通 does so it is quite misleading |

Comments: | The key reason I posted this here was because of the pronunciation shift from haha+saru to hahazaru. If it weren't for the shift, a normal dictionary-based sentence parsing program like the one I wrote ten years ago would catch the two words separately. But lacking a dictionary entry for ザル meaning 'monkey' (and there is no reason you should have one), the parser does not catch the word and display the meaning correctly. |
