Comments: | Less than 0.3% of the correct spelling. I think it just ends up being clutter when we're talking about something this obscure. I don't think the absolute number "6k in the ngrams" is a useful metric, you have to look at the percentages or almost all common words will end up with ik versions. |

Comments: | But I think the most common usage that would be translated "to turn on" is 洗濯機を回す. You'd never (well, not normally) say "I'm gonna turn/rotate/spin/twist/gyrate the washing machine" in English. If I'm looking for the meaning of 回す in a case like that, I might very well skim past it. I do think it should be its own sense. I suggest giving it number 5, after "to turn (to a new use)" and before "to put (someone in a position)" |

Comments: | If it really is needed, I think it should just be an ik-tagged kanji in the 基づく entry (no need to include the incorrect reading, I'd think), not a separate entry. But it's so rare (0.1-0.3% of 基づく) it'd also qualify for rK (as I'm currently applying it). Do we really need to include kanji that's both ik and rK? Personally I don't think so. |

Comments: | Thank you for the submission. We already have an entry for 少年愛 so this should be submitted as an amendment to that entry (i.e. an additional sense) rather than as a new entry suggestion (just something to keep in mind for the next time). |

Comments: | This manga usage is not easily guessable from the normal meaning of the word, and 'shounen ai' is used as a loan word with a different meaning in English, so it's worth having this in the dictionary. |

▶ a genre of male/male writing or manga featuring ornate, baroque aesthetics, poetic prose, and unusual kanji |

Comments: | Already an entry: 耽美 (たんび) (n) aestheticism; pursuit of beauty; obsession with beautiful things (1768690) It may be appropriate as another sense in that entry, although as a genre it is probably quite broad and already covered. |
