https://momojob.net/wordbook/detail/144/
チェンジとは、デリヘルで派遣された子が気に入らない場合、お客さんが別の子を派遣しなおしてもらうことです。

お客さんがデリヘルで派遣されてきた女の子を一目見て気に入らないとき、お店に連絡して別の女の子を派遣してもらうことを「チェンジ」といいます。
  Comments:
I'm logging out for today but I just remembered hearing this word on an old Gottsu Ee Kanji sketch where there's a brothel or デ
リベル setting and the client shouts "チェンジ!" when he's not happy with the first woman (played by a man).

i agree. all my kokugo dictionaries list the normal english meaning of 'feminist' first, but i've had real conversations in which people were genuinely confused when i used フェミニスト to mean what we normally call a 'feminist'. i think the original ordering more accurately reflects modern usage vs. etymology

GG5, 中辞典 (both have the original sense ordering.)
  Comments:
I suspect the 国語s are being historical/politically correct, and the JEs are reflecting actual usage. Certainly when I was first learning Japanese in the 80s it was emphasized that フェミニスト meant sense 1. Has it changed?

"that one loves" works OK for 好きなX but otoh not for Xが好き or [int]-like "好き!"
These work better, but they're even less adjectival than the "that..." glosses are. But I suppose it really can't be helped, 好き/嫌い
seem impossible to pin down in English without somehow using verbs.

Neither was homophone/homophony, I imagine. We already lead with "homophone" on 同音異義語. What distinguishes these terms is that 同音異字 words *must* have different written forms. There is no such requirement for 同音意義語/homophones.
同音異字 words are heterographs, 100%, so I see no reason not to include the term.

Even in the agency examples, "talents" is referring to talented people. They happen to be signed to a talent agency, but "talent" doesn't mean "person signed to a talent agency".

For the powers at the Creative Artists Agency, Hollywood’s pre-eminent talent representative, the coming blockbuster
“Transformers” has already brought a lesson in the cold-hearted ways of corporate entertainment.
... In that time, it not only raided competitors for agents and talent in the movie and television businesses ...
And its success or failure is likely to tell whether talents as varied as Will Ferrell, Tom Cruise, Jerry Bruckheimer, Derek
Jeter or Norah Jones — Creative Artists clients all — will maintain their leverage against evolving media giants ...

https://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/23/world/asia/unknown-in-america-david-spector-carves-out-niche-in-japan.html
But Mr. Spector’s main claim to fame may simply be his durability. He is the last of the big “gaijin tarento,” or foreign
talents — Japanese-speaking foreigners who became celebrities here in the boom years of the 1980s simply by sounding off about
life in Japan, and feeding the country’s narcissistic fascination with how the world views it.
  Comments:
The last link (WAPost) was about a modeling agency.
You will find plenty of references to actors etc. also.
9. A* 2021-11-02 01:11:30  Robin Scott <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
The first example uses the wasei meaning of "talent". In the remaining examples, "talents" refers to talented/skilled people, as opposed to people signed to a talent agency.
