Comments: | Robin's suggestion has been there for a while and no one has responded. I think it's a good way to go. The "koyomi" romaji version seems to get little or no use - most WWW hits are for a brand of shochu. I'll pull this back to one sense, drop the koyomi gloss, and unless there are objections I'll edit the glosses of the ~20 entries with "koyomi" in them. |

Comments: | I'm not sure the filler note is needed (based on the description in the Nikkei article) I'm a little "weirded out" by this (for lack of a better word) because ゆうて is orig. Kansai-ben of 言って, something I hear often, but I've never heard it used like described above. I don't want to add every single sense from 言う and try and give them conjugated glosses, what a nightmare of an entry that'd be, but if we allowed for entries without definitions (which I think is planned for JMdict 2.0?) I'd like to add a sense that looked something like this: [1][exp][ksb] [note="te-conjugation of 言う][see=言う] (where the xref is to all senses of いう) |

Comments: | I don't think we can call this "educational institution focused on learning while having fun", it makes it sound like something that's been formally defined or like it's a specific category of school. This seems more like a casual kanji pun on 学校 that should be read more as "fun school" and that's being used spec. for "水辺の楽校" (a government project) and in some other similar instances like Mie Prefecture's "nature school" It's a headache to gloss so my preference would kind of be to just skip it, but it is common in the ngrams... |

Comments: | I think that's a weird and kind of contrived exception to be making - why should country names be treated any differently from other nouns (but only when used in compounds)? I think it's helpful to point out the etym here. Not everybody coming across this word will know that ギリシャ is the standard word for Greece. I think we should have an lsrc on フランスパン too. |

5. | A* 2021-10-29 01:03:58 Marcus Richert <...address hidden...> | |

Comments: | since it's 予告 rather than say 脅迫 I feel this implies "I will kill you (using an axe) (on November 15)" and is less likely to refer to something more informal with a conditional like the spoken "If you fuck with me again, I'll kill you!" If that second one is a "death threat" but not a 殺害予告, I think we need to somehow clarify that. |
