"Flex" is still used in BrE to refer to flexible insulated cables.
I looked through the Reverso results and they're full of product descriptions where I have no idea what "flex" is referring to. Can it really mean "something flexible"?

Reverso has a lot of flexible-hours matches, as well as examples where it means something flexible.

  Comments:
Maybe this works. I know we don't like abbreviations as the first gloss, but it's the main meaning of the term in Japanese.
When I was younger "flex" usually meant flexible electrical cable, but I'm not sure it does now.
The n-grams are certainly skewed by company names.

This isn't vs in the kokugos and there's not much support for it in the n-grams either. Plenty of examples on Twitter of sense 2 being used with する so I suggest restricting the vs tag to that sense.

I think the counts are coming from the latter cases.
I really can't see this making a valid entry.

I suspect many of the n-grams counts are coming from passages like ...した後 + 申請書情報... Googling for it brings up a lot with the comma between. Could also be a contraction of 後の申請.

Presumably this is always prenominal. Mostly AC units.
Something that's "ceiling-mounted" isn't necessarily flush with the ceiling, which is why I've put it second.

While not that common, 天埋's meaning is not exactly obvious. so this is probably worth adding. I'm not sure 天井埋め込み is needed as an entry. It's rather A+B.

Thanks, I missed that point.
I struggled a bit trying to get a sensible set of senses. Daijirin has 4 groups with subsenses, GG5 also has 4 senses and 中辞典 has 5. The 4 I proposed are based on GG5's split. They seem to make sense to me, although I think may be possible to collapse them to just two senses without losing much.
