Comments: | A bit messy with indexing the sentences. There are about 150 indexed to 然う and another 750 indexed to そう, most of which are really (now) for 然う. The bulk index editor helps, and I've done about 600 of them, but there are still some in limbo. |

Comments: | I think it's more accurate to say that パンク is an abbreviation the English "puncture". None of the refs have a パンクチュア entry. The kokugos give the etymology as "punctureから", "punctureの略", etc. Since the link between パンク and "puncture" is quite plain to see, I don't think a note is necessary. |

Comments: | I don't think "going over" is right. GG5 uses a rather free translation for "財政はパンク寸前だ". The subject of "going over" (in the context of a budget) would be a person, company, etc., not the budget itself. Also, 財政 doesn't mean "budget". Sense 1 isn't an abbreviation. |

Comments: | Sankoku does not have [2]. Japanese Wikipedia moxibustion(灸) opening line explains the relationship between ヨモギ and もぐさ(ref). I gifted a bottle of Jeppson's Malört, a bitter herbal liquor, to a Japanese friend, who in turn introduced me to the term 蓬 ヨモギ(mugwart), which has 艾 listed as a secondary kanji form. I can only speculate, but I have to imagine that 艾 when read as もぐさ (literally "burnable/burning grass", pointed out by daijs) in modern Japanese is generally going to mean [1]. We might not generally write in an explanation for "moxa", but without one the very-relevant xref (moxa => moxibustion) will be very confusing. Also, "moxa" does not readily produce an explanation on google. And, a little info in [1] explains the relationship between [1] and [2] nicely. I doubt many people know what moxa is (let alone moxibustion), so a little info may not hurt, at least for disambiguation. If [2] didn't already xref 蓬[1], I would say that [1] should. |

Comments: | added kanji form, added restricted readings, added family, and information, and added another equivalent genus name. The reference (see=1517830) is incorrect, as the kanji in question DOES NOT represent the entire genus, only a very few of its species: "Common names used for several species include wormwood, mugwort, sagebrush and sagewort, while a few species have unique names, notably Tarragon (A. dracunculus) and Southernwood (A. abrotanum). Occasionally some of the species are called sages, causing confusion with the Salvia sages in the family Lamiaceae." Suggest removing cross-references and fixing the entries cross-referenced. ALSO, would it be useful to cross-reference species in genus entries? Genus in Family entries? |
