Comments: | The bi-gram "main bank" doesn't have the same meaning in English. The 1980s ANU paper Rene referenced was about Japanese banking practice and used the term in that context. I wouldn't mind dropping the "w" from the lsrc, but I'd prefer not to have it as a gloss. |

|
Comments: | this doesn't really seem wasei to me. if it's a technical term, maybe that particular usage is wasei, but "main bank" seems like such an obvious and common contruction that it would be surprising to me if this didn't originally come from english to the extent that the technical usage might be particular to japan, it appears to have been back-translated to "main bank" in english: https://sci-hub.tw/10.1016/0167-2681(89)90037-1 so, if a term comes from english but has a japanese-specific use, should it be marked wasei? should "main bank" be a gloss? |

Comments: | These n-adv senses were often the result of splitting out "副詞的にも用いる" usage into a separate sense, so dropping "n" is correct. Noun usage is covered by sense 1. After the n-adv to [n,adv] conversion, there are probably quite a lot of entries that need to have "n" removed. |

Comments: | I think everything with 科 is used at leadt informally to mean "clinic" too e.g. ara-kou.com page title: "東京の肛門科なら荒川外科肛門科" (but the actual name of the clinic/hospital is 荒川外科肛門医院) and komon-clinic.com page title: 肛門科|東京の肛門科をお探しなら専門 医【豊島園大腸肛門科】へ (and the official name of this clinic seems to be xxx肛門科 as above) on a side note, google is displaying "a do you think you've contracted covid-19? Please follow the authorities' directiona" kind of warning when I search for 肛門科... seems they're going overboard a little. |

Comments: | 枠's basic meaning is "frame/framework" so in this context it probably has a meaning similar to "bracket" or "zone" (as in "the friendzone"). I don't think it's a separate sense. --- We could add the "from リアルに恋している" note here but I'm not sure it's necessary. I included it on リアコ because it's not obvious that the word comes from リアル+恋. With all these terms, it almost always is a male celebrity but I don't think it has to be. リアコ should probably be aligned with this entry. |

Comments: | Quite agree with cutting it back to リア恋, but a couple of ancillary questions arise: - should it be merged with リアコ? It's almost the smae term. - the リアコ entry has a note "from リアルに恋している". Should that be repeated here? - the リアコ entry has "with a (male) celebrity". Does that "male" apply here too? I suspect it does. |
