1) I agree that my original submission was wordy. But I believe this type of marketing is better described as targeting specific scenarios (シナリオ) rather than specific potential customers per se. 

The system works by applying if-then rules. 例えば「ユーザーが●●のメールを開封したら、●●のURLをクリックしたら、●●の商品を購入したら、このメールを次に送る」というような筋書き沿って配信されるのがシナリオメールです。As described here, the rules are

Given that カノン comes from Dutch whereas キャノン presumably comes from English, I think we should keep them separate.

Shinsen splits its entry for かの into two senses: one for the　「伶の」 meaning and one for the 「あの」 meaning. The latter sense has a 文章語 tag. 
Koj, iwakoku, and sankoku also describe かの as a more literary form of あの.
