3. | A* 2020-07-26 01:00:55 Richard Warmington <...address hidden...> | |
Comments: | 1) I agree that my original submission was wordy. But I believe this type of marketing is better described as targeting specific scenarios (シナリオ) rather than specific potential customers per se. The system works by applying if-then rules. 例えば「ユーザーが●●のメールを開封したら、●●のURLをクリックしたら、●●の商品を購入したら、このメールを次に送る」というような筋書き沿って配信されるのがシナリオメールです。As described here, the rules are based on the behaviors of users, not their identity. There's a flowchart for how these rules are applied on the webpage the above quote comes from: https://www.cuenote.jp/library/marketing/scenario-problem-solution.html Maybe you could lengthen the definition slightly like this: "automatic marketing emails tailored to specific responses of potential customers". 2) By the way, I see you added another entry ステップメール 1. automatic marketing emails tailored to specific potential customers From what I've read, ステップメール is considered to be different from シナリオメール in that "step-mail" is sent at set intervals, whereas "scenario-mail" is sent in response to user actions. See, for example, the heading ステップメー ルの基本 on the following page: https://boxil.jp/mag/a78/ In that example, emails are sent on the following fixed schedule: - Day 1 (greetings) - One week later (any problems?) - One month later (information about a related product) - Three months later (request a product review) (regardless of the actions of the user) In short, シナリオメール are tailored to user responses while ステップメール are based on a fixed schedule. |

|
Comments: | Reopening this to raise the question as to whether キャノン/cannon should be merged here. The overlap of カノン, キャノン and キャロム is quite messy. |

Comments: | Two comments: - 加農 is also read かのう in the related term 加農砲 (Koj, Daijr, GG5, here.) - カノン also means the same as キャロム in billiards, but I think it's not a candidate for merging here. |
