Comments: | I'd like to propose re-adding 拐う. It's obscure, but it does see use. I've listed some references where 拐う is read さらう (and definitely not read かどう, which is archaic). Some of these refs have no furigana, which suggests that a native speaker could infer the reading, so I think having 拐う in here is valuable. |

Comments: | Very interesting. I went back and looked at the Reverso matches in detail, and I see they are really poor 直訳 of 復元 + 品, and should be translated as replica/reconstructions/etc. Need to be careful there. Seems like people are using 復元品 as an alternative to 複製品 despite its components not actually meaning that. |

Comments: | 﨑 arrived in JIS X 0213 in 2000. Shibano's JIS 漢和 groups 﨑 with the 4 kanji 崎, 岬, 埼 and 碕, and gives it the キ and さき readings that they have. I have proposed adding it to the 1297220 entry, which has those 4 kanji and is where I think it belongs. It will be visible in the 1297220 entry in apps that support Unicode. It won't be visible in WWWJDIC as it doesn't support JIS X 0213-only kanji. The Unihan entry does not have readings or meanings. I'm part of the Slack group for Unihan and I'll propose their addition. I'll leave this open for a bit, but once the addition to 1297220 is approved it can be removed. |

Comments: | The kanji 﨑 is neither in JEDICT/JMNEDICT nor in several web-based jinmeiyou kanji lists that I consulted. However, it is in Weblio and the Unihan Database, and several personal websites explain it in detail (see references). I have a hunch that we may have discussed this item already some years ago, but I don't know what the conclusion was at the time. In any case, I think it would be useful to have this kanji in the database, and since there have been major structural changes in recent years I wonder whether it might not have become possible to include it now. :) |
