I would not be putting a capital letter on it in English. When I was a professor (no capital) people called me "Professor Breen", which is correct. However, we don't put "Professor" (with a capital) in a dictionary entry just because it's (also) used as a title.

(I should prob raise it on the mailing list, but I'm lazy, apologies)
I think 12:30pm is clearer than 1230pm
(and that's what Chicago, AP do, though in the UK a dot is apparently more common than a colon (12.30pm) in 12 hour notation)
2. A 2020-05-26 01:40:40  Jim Breen <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
I think this is fine, and I suggest you go ahead and align the other ...の刻 entries in this style.
For dictionary entries, I like 2am, 1230pm, etc. as a style. In text documents I'd probably follow the AGPS style of "2 a.m.", but for dictionary entries I think the shorter version is better. I'll add this to the Policy.

I don't think it's necessary in this case. The note and the glosses both have two sets of ellipses.
We tend to use letters only when there's repetition of same term, or when order is important.

  Comments:
Very curious. I went to both those references and use the browser's Ctrl-F to search for 捨行, with no result. I just tried again, and it worked.
I agree with Robin, I don't think this should be included.
A word of advice about references - if the quoted reference is not actually *about* the proposed entry term, it is helpful to quote the text justifying the entry. (I have extended the Editorial Policy change to mention this.)

I don't think we need this. I can't find any examples of usage, just explanations of the etymology of 断捨離.

  Comments:
The compound 捨行 doesn't appear in either of those references, which are both for 断捨離 (already an entry).

  Comments:
閩南民系, which would possibly be ビン南... in Japanese since 閩 is rarely used in Japan, is really a Chinese term. 民系 is not Japanese for people; it's Chinese. Google for it and you find it used in discussions of Chinese usage, terminology, etc.
There may be a case for an entry for the "Hoklo people" in a Japanese-English/etc. dictionary, but I don't think the primary surface form should be simply the Chinese version. This is a trap with Wikipedia pages as references - often they are translations of pages from other versions.
