Comments: | Reordering glosses. I don't think we need a separate noun sense. Noun usage is really uncommon (there are no examples in the JEs or kokugos). Also, "crank" is not correct; there's no "その人" meaning in the kokugos. That Tanaka sentence is not a direct translation. 変屈 is so obscure I think we can drop it. |

Comments: | I approved the change proposed by Robin, but I note that GG5 leads with noun glosses and of the two Tanaka sentences using the term, one uses the noun: 彼のような偏屈を理解するには一生かかるよ。 It will take you a whole lifetime to understand a crank like him. Also Eijiro has one gloss. This may be an occasion where we have both. |

Comments: | The previous "lacquer poisoning" definition seems overly literal and broad for a fairly specific condition. In Japan it seems to largely affect people who have come into contact with lacquer (which contains urushiol), but it is used to generally define urushiol induced rashes, much in the same way that "poison ivy rash" can define the same affliction in English. I think "urushiol-induced contact dermatitis" also covers that specific reference to lacquer, just by virtue of having urushi in the name. I know 瘡 and 瘡れ are not commonly used for かぶれ, but all references to this specific condition that I've found seem to use it. |

Comments: | From submission to add ヌく to the 抜くentry. I commented: "AFAICT ヌく/ヌける is slang usage which only applies to a couple of senses here. I think it would be better in an entry of its own and cross-referenced to the matching senses here." Marcus added: "If it was an entry, it should probably be ヌケる rather than ヌく (ヌケる 6251) (抜くことができる) for "being able to masturbate (to)" but I don't know.) I've moved it into a free-standing entry in case anyone wants to pursue this further. |

Comments: | We're still at a stage where "immunity passport"/"免疫パスポート" is put in quotation marks every time it appears in print. All sorts of new terms are being coined and used by the media during this pandemic. I don't think we need to add them just because they're common, especially when the meaning is easy to derive, as is the case here. I believe we should be more selective about which ones we include while the pandemic is ongoing. We can always add them later. |
