Comments: | I think we have to recognize the difference between what a term actually means, and what impression it gives in certain contexts and tones of voice. I remember my Japanese class teacher about 35 years ago demonstrating how ああそうですか with a falling tone just means "Oh I see", and with a rising tone can mean "really?, are you sure?". In English, a term like "lovely" in certain contexts and tones of voice can mean "revolting", "awful", etc. You really can't attempt to convey all of these in dictionary entries. I don't propose to change the entry at this stage, but I'll leave it open in case anyone wants to comment more. |

Comments: | Here's an exchange where it really only expresses irritation and not "I told you already" https://youtu.be/vAewchj5oBg starts at 00:14 「柚琉!なんで今日私にパスしなかったの!?」 「えっ?いいじゃん。ゴールきめれたんだから」 「チームワークが大事だって言ってるのっ。いつもいつもー」 「だからー、強引にいくのも大事なのっ」 (this line) |

Comments: | Two matters I'd like to raise with this type of entry: - are with comfortable with the "ateji" tag on the 加行... form? I don't mind, but maybe "oK" might be better. - I think it's cleaner just to say "inflection" rather than "conjugation (inflection, declension)". Less cluttered and just as accurate. |

There are 110 entries with コンピュータ in the headword(s) and of those about 10 don't have the [comp] tag - mostly things like サイクルコンピューター and ダイビングコンピュータ. I wonder if it's better to keep terms like 量子コンピューター inside the tent - after all it's very much a term within the computer industry, or at least computational research. |
