The ず for is also continuative (equiv. to 〜ないで) according to M&T's Intermediate grammar dictionary.
Normally I'd be happy to drop this as people looking it up will get a good match with どうすることもできない, but at around 20k in the n-grams, maybe it's worth having as well.

But the ず just turns it into an adverb. It's not really a variant but rather a different grammatical form. Plenty of 〜ない expressions can be written like this. The glosses would need to be changed but I don't think we need the entry at all; it's enough to have どうする事も出来ない.

People are very erratic in their な/の usage at the best of times, and it's very irregular with 外来語. In this case it's pretty clear that の is moe=re common, which is to be expected.

I confusingly wrote ～なソフト in my approval edit but the count was actually for ～なゲーム, i.e.
"クロスプラットフォームのゲーム" 7 hits in 2020
"クロスプラットフォームなゲーム" 0 hits in 2020

Lots of words can be na-adjectives in informal speech/writing, but we don't normally tag them as adj-na just based on limited anecdotal 
evidence like that. クロスプラットフォームなｘ is not nonexistent but obviously a lot less common than ～のx, and might also be considered 
incorrect. For example, you'll find 5 examples of クロスプラットフォームのX on site:asahi.com, but nothing for ～なX.
