I've never seen ノウ used for "no". It's not in the refs either. Probably fine to leave it out.

I've checked the original 2007 submission, and I agree that sense 2 is really kanwa stuff. Maybe there's scope for a "人 is often にん in compounds", but that's not a path I like much.
