Comments: | I was keen to keep a plain "at" sense as well for cases like アットホーム and アットバット, but on the checking the n-grams I agree they are outliers. That said I think it's useful for text glossing and segmentation purposes. I have put it into a specials file for WWWJDIC but perhaps it can be considered as a second sense here. |

|
Comments: | I agree with dropping あっと and the lsrc tag. I also don't think we need a general "at" sense. The number of expressions containing "アット" is very small, and we have separate entries for them. The only ref that has アット/at is daijs, and both senses refer to the @ sign. |

Comments: | Yes, but I think the entry is rather over merged. 刺青 is mainly read しせい, with いれずみ as a gikun reading; just as 文身 is really ぶんしん, etc. I think this should be broken into 4 entries. I know it's convenient to have the いれずみ/tattoo entry in one place but it's ended up a mess. If others agree I will do the split. |

Comments: | it seems to be a bit of a set phrase, but i wonder if this is true of all X+NOT_Xのほど if it's kept, it doesn't mean "whether it's true or not", it means "the extent to which [something is] true or false". because the translation is not particularly idiomatic and obvious/literal, i'd be inclined to delete it |

|
Comments: | By the way, I still find it difficult to distinguish arch, obs, and obsc after half a year's contributing: 1. Not sure if 饌 is primarily used during or before the Edo period. To determine that, you need the unabridged edition of Nikkoku or subscription to the historical corpora at NINJAL to see the whole history. But since 饌 is a kango, it is likely to be used throughout the history of 文語 instead of being an 江戸語, so it is probably not arch. 2. It is used by Meiji and early-Showa period authors like Mori Ogai (as shown by aozora), but no longer in general use (ghits are few). So it is obs. 3. It is "rarely used" in post-WWII 口語, but not "rarely used" throughout history (as shown by aozora) -- the criterion for "obsc" is ambiguous. However, there are more common terms (供え物, 神饌, 献饌, 食饌, etc.), so it appears to be obsc. |

Comments: | There are two distinct entries: the not very common 隔心/かくしん and the even less common 隔て心/へだてごころ. They seem to mean much the same, although there may be a nuance about the latter which escapes me. They only overlap via an okurigana-free variant of 隔て心. I really don't think that's anything like enough to merge them. In JMdict we merge entries more aggressively than any other dictionary AFAICT, but I don't think we should go too far. |

Comments: | can this be merged with 隔心(かくしん・きゃくしん)? i think it's better to allow multiple 語形 in an entry (not bound by the 2-out-of-3 rule) to group synonyms together and show their relative frequency or we can use a central database of synonyms so that we need n rather than n*(n-1)/2 xrefs |
