I like keeping the terms in the indices complete as it helps identify modifications to the sentences themselves. Around 50-70 sentences get changed each week and I have software that tracks and identifies the changes. The completeness of the indices is central to this.

The EOW definition of "fast" seems to only be applied to "fast asleep", which while slightly different from deeply asleep, in my guess, is not the best translation.

I think this is better than "both" considering that the definition is "二つの都". Compare with 両家: "両方の家", 両者: "両方の者", 両腕: "両方のうで", etc.
This should really be one sense with the city names as examples. No need for a lit. gloss.

8. A* 2020-02-18 23:56:01  Robin Scott <...address hidden...>

To me, the entry feels incomplete without the extra information because the gloss isn't simply a translation of the quote. But if I'm the only one who thinks this, I won't object to its removal.
7. A* 2020-02-18 18:40:27  Rene Malenfant <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
the existing note seems a little encyclopaedic to me, but it's not like we're going to run out of paper to print it

definitely some kind of note for 急にボールが来たので is needed, i'm not sure the origin is necessary, but either way
6. A* 2020-02-18 05:51:21  Jim Breen <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
If I saw it with just the gloss, I'd think "where did that come from?". With the "from 急にボールが来たので" I'd feel I had enough information. The extra bit about Atsushi Yanagisawa doesn't add much for me. If I wanted to find that out I'd go Googling, but I probably wouldn't bother.
