  Comments:
I feel that the nuance of "secluding oneself" may be too negative for sense 1. As you say, the focus is on leading a quiet life, and although that may involve secluding oneself, it's not automatically implied. Nothing in the JEs to suggest it either.
I think the idea of shutting oneself away is more in line with the "世俗を逃れて山野などに閑居すること" sense. The detail about moving to the country to get away from "wordly things" appears to be what separates it from sense 1 (and makes it archaic).
The new first gloss is an improvement. I agree it's worth stressing the "のんびりと暮らすこと" part.

In 金将/金將 sorts of situations I think an "oK" is fine. It signals to users that they shouldn't be using the 金將 as though it were a regular and recognized form.
As to whether 將 should be here at all, I think the point is that it shows up in some shogi contexts. Apart from that, it obviously needs caution. For example, you'll find 將校 in pre-WWII documents, which is why it's in the 将校 entry.

unfortunately, 五十音 is defined as "Japanese syllabary". so i'm not sure that adding gojūon adds much meaning here. and it's not in any of my english dictionaries, so it probably would need an expl.

maybe just "Japanese syllabary order" to match 五十音?

  Comments:
旧車会 isn't limited to cars. Also, Google images mostly returns results containing "旧車會" when you search "旧車会". I found a couple of examples of 旧車会 where it's not referring to bōsōzoku-like groups.
Daijr has a single 旧車会 entry but gives 旧車會 as a synonym for the second sense.
There are example online of 旧車会 being used with the sense 2 meaning but 旧車會 dominates.
We could merge them but we'd need [restr=旧車会] on sense 1 and a "esp. 旧車會" note on sense 2. Sense 1 doesn't appear to be very common.
8. A* 2020-11-10 10:55:26  Marcus Richert <...address hidden...>

Hm. All the google image results for 旧車会

Unless the "car club" sense can be attested
outside of wikipedia, I don't think it shouls
be included.
