I'll flag the issue with that sentence in the Tatoeba forum, and drop the sentence from the main example for sense 3. I'll also add an alternative sense 3 example.

the japanese sentence was 愛すればこそ彼女と結婚したかった before it was changed mistakenly. this can be seen from the tatoeba logs.
if you change it back, you only need to add an english translation to it.
"It was because I loved her that I wished to marry her."

愛すればこそ彼女と結婚しなかった。 I didn't marry her because I loved her.

I believe the sense 3 sentence is a mistranslation. (To me, at least) the English is saying "Love wasn't the reason I married her" whereas the Japanese means "It was because I loved her that I didn't marry" (which doesn't make much sense). Presumably the English sentence is the original, so the Japanese would need to be changed (preferably by a native speaker). A pity we'll lose an example for sense 3, though. Could we add another one? Something like "君の将来を思えばこそこう言ってるんだ。It's because I'm thinking of your future that I'm saying this." (adapted from a GG5 example)

Just want to clarify that I was thinking specifically about non-Japanese names, which Daijr, Kojien, etc. do not include (although I don't think Japanese surnames are needed in JMdict either).

I'd like to close this off and ask that further discussion take place in the issues GitHub page. There is a related open issue there:

Daijisen, Daijirin, Nikkoku, Kojien, Wadoku 
are all general-purpose dictionaries that have 
entries for surnames.

I don't think a general-purpose dictionary should include names unless they refer to specific (historically significant) people. Most people are intelligent enough to realise that not every instance of バッハ/Bach refers to the composer.

There's another Bach in the news right now (IOC 
president)...
I'm not at all opposed to having more surnames 
in jmdict.

No, the author whose book I was translating was using kocchia/tonburi as a way to describe the arabic food couscous.  That led to a google search which gave me the information I posted earlier.  Of course, 
the author may not have entirely known what she was saying.  The book is "Golden Time 6", published in 2013 or so.

Yes, "ゼロ型" -"血液" confirms that too.  I'll add ０型 as an iK in the O型 entry as you suggest.

The few entries about this are explanations saying that O型 was actually originally 0型. not in Japanese but in the original German. ゼロ型 can also refer to a number of different other things which becomes apparent if you google for "０型" -血液.
I don't think this can be called an established term meaning "type O blood" and having this as an entry can be misinterpreted. I wouldn't mind including ０型 as an iK in the O型 entry but it doesn't belong here as a separate entry.

If it was just ０型 I'd happily ditch it, but with 1814 in the n-grams for ゼロ型, and that form relating to Ｏ型, I think it should stay.

Thank you for the reviews, as always.  For what it's worth, I also saw the sporadic images of "people-carrying" apparatuses.  I think these are spurious.  If one has the time to follow the links (which I certainly don't expect of others here), you'll find the term is either not present (google creative license in image searching, I guess) or is included in some roundabout way(like including a full definition of 搬送!).
