Comments: | What does everyone think of something like this? It seems like this usage is especially well-established in sports, while it seems to be more commonly ”戦国時代" within quotes when it's non-sports contexts (e.g. food delivery apps, idol groups), which seems less dictionary entry-worthy, but there's a lot of overlap. If this goes in, 戦国時代 should probably have a similar sense. |

Comments: | This is a strange one. Not in any of the usual refs. There is a manga called 「じゃりン子チエ」 which is where most of the hits come from. Seems to be a variant of 「じゃり」, but while that has undertones of a noisy child, this refers more to an animated (female) one? Though the term itself doesn't have anything to do with school. Dunno if it's worth keeping if we can't narrow it down. |
