It's an English grammatical rule that "both" becomes "either" in negative sentences. But in Japanese, there's no such rule.
"私はそのふたごのどちらも知らない" literally means "I don't know both of those twins." It's only one sense in Japanese, but if we want to include "either", we'd have to do something like this.

I was happy with two senses. In the Tanaka sentences they're not really interchangeable. I
think "either" should be included.

This isn't two senses. どちらも means "both" (両方とも). In English, there are contexts where "both" and "either" are more or less interchangeable, but どちらも doesn't have the "one or the other of two things" meaning. GG5 does have "either" as a gloss but perhaps we should leave it out to avoid confusion.
Meiyko gives the PoS as 連語.

Combining 仕方がない and 仕方ない in the one entry would be quite messy as we need to align the kanji form and the reading.

Also, for some practical references:

https://www.amazon.com/Tiger-SMG-A360-WL-TIGER-Mochi-making-machines/dp/B0152W155Y
Manual in English for a model similar to this, with the same control panel layout:
https://tiger-corporation-us.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/manual-SMJ-A.pdf
Spec. p6, which lists the word for "OFF" contrasted similarly to the control panel on the actual device.
  Comments:
This could be slightly contentious, as the reading is technically exactly the same as 切り (to the best of my knowledge). As a result, perhaps it'd be better served as an alternative kanji there? I'm not
sure the proper procedure for such.

Either way, it's a mess. Best left as it is.
I see there are no example sentences using 切り. There are 5 with きり linked here, and they are for senses 7 and 8. I see GG5 has all its examples with just きり. A possible [uk]?

Merging with っきり would break the 2/3 rule. But we could still have a separate きり/ぎり entry for those senses.

What opencooper was saying is that "isekai" in English doesn't refer to the actual "other world" as much as it refers to the genre of
works that take place in them. I don't think adding "(genre)" is helpful because I don't think it's clear that it should be read as
"this English gloss mainly applies to the genre dealing with works taking place in another world" but will instead be interpreted as
"異世界 refers to a genre". I'm sure opencooper is correct but I'm assuming "isekai" can have both meanings in English i.e. 1) genre
dealing w 異世界, 2) 異世界, and since it's at the bottom of the list, I think this entry is probably fine as-is.

I just want to note that, in English, "isekai" is primarily used to refer to a *genre* of such works
(evidenced by the references provided). Still useful to have, I guess, unless we have an 異世界もの entry

However, I agree with Marcus that 笑 should remain as a headword. We lose the わら reading if it's dropped from here. The same applies to w.
I think 笑 should come before w. It must be the more common form overall.
Finally, I wouldn't call this an abbreviation. 笑 and 笑い are used differently.

"vs-i" is used for expressions with the regular する verb, such as in お開きにする. "vs-s" is for the Kする verbs such as 令する. The inflection patterns are different in some cases. 画する is one of the latter.

definitions range from simple absence (incl. for medical reasons), to any unexcused failure to attend, to the government's official definition of 不登校, which is missing 30 or more days of school in a single year

With Jean-Luc's welcome assistance we've now got downstream processing going for this character type - it can't go into the legacy EUC files but should be OK in the UTF8 ones.

However, I'm now having doubts about whether the entry is correct. When I Google for "あ゙ー" I get a lot of hits but for "あ゛ー", i.e. for the version with a non-combining ゛. It seems like that's the actual version out there. Maybe I should make this entry have both あ゙ー and あ゛ー?

Looking at this more closely, I see I missed the point completely. It's not a special "ー" at all, the proposed change is to use あ゙ and ア゙ instead of/as well as あ and ア. In case you can't see it, あ゙ is あ followed by the Unicode "COMBINING KATAKANA-HIRAGANA VOICED SOUND MARK", which overlays the あ as it's a non-spacing character.
At present the downstream processing can't handle these. I'll have to put it to one side for now.

Just informing the anonymous submitter that we include Japanese readings for Chinese- and Korean-derived words in the same entry. But in this case, it doesn't look like わしょく is actually used.

The (few) examples I'm seeing are quoting Korean sources. I'll tag it.
I'll drop that note as I don't think it's very relevant.

Is it really used in Japanese? All I'm seeing is translations/ descriptions of the Korean
term.

LSRC is different, so should be a separate entry if you really want to include it as a reading

Almost always used as 無遅刻無欠席 as far as I can tell, so perhaps this entry should be changed to 無遅刻無欠

From the sole dictionary source (nikk), this would appear to be archaic but I see quite a lot of usage online. Usually refers to watching films, TV shows etc. on illegal streaming sites.
